Fisheries course deals in fisheries science that is the discipline of managing and understanding fisheries.Fisheries science and management courses are offered in both completely online and hybrid formats at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Some of the popular courses taught online in these programs include ecology, conservation, and management of fish populations. It not only includes knowing about scientific mechanisms but also learns about the management of the fishes in an educated manner. The scientist or fish biologists are immensely deep to carry out the biological knowledge about the aquatics.

Course module

Fisheries science is generally a 4-year course typically taught in a university setting, and can be the focus of an undergraduate, postgraduate or Ph.D. program. The eligibility of the fisheries course is that one should have studied the science till the intermediate. As the degree in Fisheries Science is a science degree, one needs to have studied science with biology till intermediate. All India level ICAR (Indian Council of Agricultural Research) examination is the selection process.

Future scope

Fisheries is never a limited course, it has various opportunities in India as well as abroad. In India, we have many departments where a fisheries candidate can get a respected job of the choice. Both state and the central government has a Fisheries Departments in which fisheries graduate can choose their career.

In State Fisheries Development Corporations, they can apply for the posts of

5. Fisheries Development Officer(FDO).

In central Fisheries Development Corporations, they can apply for the posts of
1. Deputy Managers,
2. Managers,
3. Project Officers
4. Fisheries Officers

Even then one can also get jobs in agencies set up in abroad such as
1. Technical Officers

Microbiology and its importance

Microbiology is an important branch of Science which deals with the function, structure, uses, and the existence of microscopic organisms-Unicellular, Multicellular or A cellular organisms. This branch is a broad discipline of biology that covers all the sub-disciplines such as Virology, Mycology, Parasitology, and Bacteriology. These microorganisms are present everywhere, from air to our food, these affect our health, make our food and influence our environment at a very high extent. And these organisms do matter a lot as they affect every aspect of our lives – Remember! They are in us, on us and around us. They are too small to be visible with the naked eye, but these microbes play a very crucial role in our lives, so they are important to be studied in detail.
